bardasht nahi, nidhaal hoon.

inteezar hai faqat itna,
bhojey ga kabh chirag-e-zindagi!

ke khatam hain sab aanso,
nahi hey baqi aas abh.

manzalain sabhi hain kho chukin,
umeedain hain sabhi totti hoin.

bewafai ke bojh talay,
dabb chuke hain sabhi aarman merey,

sabh sapney hain abh bikhar gaye!
par chukki hein dararain abh
dil ke darro-deewar pe.

gila nahi kisi se abh,
afsos hai bas itna!

maana merey wajood ne,
toofan ko sahara-e-zindagi!
