Need Help? or Have a Technical QuestioN?If you need help or have a Technical question, Thats the place to ask!
kids at my place are always on msn messenger (they prefer not to study lol)
so is it possible that i restrict them to use MSN messenger and IE when i'm at home?
If you don't want to block internet completely, then you can also setup a firewall on your computer/router to block all access from MSN messenger/IE. I think some firewalls also provide you with an option of supplying a password. So you can setup it to ask for password whenever MSN/IE try to access the internet. So when you want to access it, either enter the password or just disable the firewall. You can use spybot (its free) and has a firewall or anything else if you want. Hope this helps.
I have just posted a program in the downloads section that may help you called "Advanced Parental Control". I think this is the sort of thing you are looking for, you can limit access to the internet to certain times and also set a time limit for each day. Its only a small download, about 2.5mb, hope it helps but if not let me know and I can try to find something else for you.
Take care,
Richard
