A negative response to anything negative only fuels the negative. If someone hates you and you hate them back it will only add fuel to hatred and conflict btween u both. If u want hatred to stop u show love to hate, and person will eventually realize how unfounded his hatred is when he is confronted with love instead of hatred. As Jesus (PBUH) said if some one slap ur cheek present him with other cheek. A positive response elicit a positive response and negative response elicit negative response.
